2001
Snowy day in Shanghai?
Don’t remember much. But the photos say I was happy.
2002-2007
Always wish I can go back.
Early School Years
Started elementary school. Same year as the the Beijing Olympics.
2008
Super excited when moving to a new home. Got my own little room. Chose the blinking star for ceiling.
Watched Avatar, the first 3D movie I've ever watched.
2009
Dazzed. Had to decide which between XiYangYang and Avatar. I chose Avatar. Regret at the time.
Same things.
2020-2011
Still in Shanghai. Still studying. Still playing the piano. Still drawing and painting.
The “end of the world” didn’t happen. That was nice.
2012
We survived.
Graduated from Jiang'wu. Started middle school at Yan’an. Was good.
2013
Although it's right across the street but felt very different. Finally got to say bye to Elementary school.
Lots of studying but was happy and loved Chinese lit.
2014
Found passion. Thought one day I'd study Chinese lit in college but that didn't happen hhh.
Same thing. But studied English hard to prep for the U.S.
2015
English/ TOEFL was tough. And bye Piano.
School in the U.S
Went a private school in Florida.
2016
It was first time traveling to the U.S. And first time living in a dorm. Tough actually.
Transferred to a private school in New York.
2017
New York was never in my plan but glad it happened. City vibe was gooooood.
Things were hard.
2018
Looking back a lot of the things are just unnecessary but they brought art back.
Started painting again and kinda never stopped.
2019
Decided art as major. Couldn't find anything else more passsionate about at the time.
Pandemic made things weird.
2020
Both life and academics totally disrupted by the pandemic. Hate it.
Graduated from Masters. Got into NYU. Art + first lines of code.
2021
Missed the commencement bc pandemic. But later got back to New York.
Glass, neon. Kinda wild. And 100 days of Coding in p5.js.
2022
College felt worth bc these moments in the shop. 100 days of making changed my life.
Coding, drinking, and IMA!!!
2023
Wasn't easy to make the decision. Really had many bottles when coding.
Design.
2024
Still coded... a lot. but decided to put focus on design.
Graduated from NYU Tisch!!!
2025
